Devils tear Prada

I would love to see this headline in coming weeks!

United will be meeting AC Milan in 2 weeks' time. The hometown of Prada will be wary of us after our amazing 7 - 1 victory over their domestic rivals AS Roma.

Last night's game was really out of this world. I only switched on the TV at 8.10pm and was surprised to see us already leading 3 - 0. Unlike the 3 - 0 lead over Reading in FA Cup, we did not falter away this time. Instead, Old Trafford was transformed into a rifle range for the Devils. And we hit the bull's eyes almost effortlessly.

It was very difficult to decide who was the man of the match as everyone was playing so well , especially Giggs, Carrick, Smith, Ronaldo, Heinze and Rooney. Everyone must be very happy for Alan Smith who finally scored (a great goal!) since his comeback from a long and horrific injury.

It will be great if we end up meeting Chelsea in FA Cup and Champions League finals, and beat them. Treble against Chelsea - that will really make this season unforgettable.

i was there on a great nite for united... atmosphere was great.. old trafford hasnt been so loud in any of my previous visits, and we were singing nonstop from start to finish... even before the match outside the stadium both sets of fans were involved in a standoff, and we were singing, taunting each other... taunts from us included "Lazio! Lazio!", "Paulo di Canio!" and "Where were you in World War II". just hilarious! all in good nature, except for a handful of fools who threw bottles at the roma fans... but we got the last laugh during the game when 70,000 fans all chanted "who are ya!", pointing at the roma fans in unison... and carrick's 2nd and evra's goals were both after cries of "shooot" from the crowd.... heck, we were chanting "we want 10!" towards the end!

but to be honest, united played like in any other game, just that last nite they were lucky in that every time they shot on goal, the ball just went in the net.... no misses or saves that u would expect in any normal game... totti shares this view in his post-match interview...

the fans around me and when walking to the tram station after the match all had this look of disbelief on their faces, which far outweighed any looks of joy... 7-1 against the 2nd ranked italian team in the QF of the euro cup? you must be joking!

i was there on united's greatest ever euro nite... from my personal life as a united fan, nothing could ever top this besides being there when united win an euro cup final

man of the match? smith ran his socks off in the 1st half - though he was clearly knackered in the 2nd... ronaldo was his usual electrifying self... rooney, often slated for not getting enough goals, has to be given credit (not only in this game, but thruout the season) for his endless running and sublime touches... but man of the match has to be carrick.. not only for his two superb goals... but also for his accurate 40-yard passes... OT hasnt seen someone who could pass like him since a certain Mr Beckham left for Spain...

On hindsight I wish I was there. Well, do cherish the night. 7 - 1 may not reccur in your whole lifetime, especially against a good side. Are you going to the semis if we are playing home 2nd leg?
